Climate:

Madikwe experiences summer rainfall with the bulk of the rain falling between October and April. May to August are normally the dry season months.

The southern area, north of the Dwarsberg range, receives average over 600mm of rain each year. The north eastern corner of Madikwe generally receives less than 500mm per annum. The summer days are hot and the evenings are mild, with the winter days being mild and pleasant, but it is very cold before and after sunset.

Humidity is generally low throughout the year, although summer is more humid than winter.

Drinking water:

Water is supplied by pipeline and is safe to drink.

Local culture:

The reserve boarders on to the surrounding community of Supingstad. The local culture of the area is called "Tswana".

Walks:
